Happy Halloween

Curriculum
Here at Purple Bees, we offer a play-based day with hidden learning to be found in every activity!
We provide well-planned indoors and outdoors experiences based on each child’s individual interests. Our team will support all children so they can learn through play and enjoy the learning experience through a balance of child-initiated and adult-led play-based activities.

We use the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) as a starting point for our educational programme. The Early Years Foundation Stage is a statutory framework that is fully embedded in all aspects of nursery life.

Our educational programme allows children to experience quality learning and development opportunities, from the day a child starts until the day we say goodbye.

Purple Bees provides all children with a firm foundation on which to build future academic, social and emotional success.

We know that choosing a childcare facility is a very personal choice and based on many different factors. To make sure that your choice fits with your lifestyle, we’ve put together some useful information in our Parent Pack which is available to download via the button below.
Our four guiding principles
At Purple Bees, our routines, activities and nursery environments are designed to enhance the following four principles, offering children opportunities to play and practise their growing skills, ensuring that every child has an opportunity to learn and develop at a pace that is suitable to them.

Unique
Child
Every child is unique, and all of the children at Purple Bees are constantly learning how to be resilient, capable, confident and self-assured;
Positive Relationships
Children learn to be strong and independent through positive relationships;
Enabling Environments
Children learn and develop well in enabling environments in which their experiences are suited to their individual needs and there is a strong partnership between practitioners and parents and/or carers;
Learning Development
Children develop and learn in different ways and at different rates. The framework covers the education and care of all children in early years provision, including children with special educational needs and disabilities.
Our team will observe, assess and plan developmentally appropriate activities for your child, keeping these four areas in mind, allowing us to provide a variety of learning experiences that are not only of interest to them but also build on what they already know!

Practitioners will observe your child regularly to identify and assess the progress they are making, regardless of your child’s age or their attendance pattern at nursery. Observations help practitioners to decide where the children are in their learning and development and to plan what to do next.
