Purple Bees’ Curriculum
Children’s joy and happiness are a big part of their learning. Here at Purple Bees, we offer a play-based day with hidden learning to be found in every activity!
We provide well-planned indoor and outdoor
experiences based on each child’s individual
interests. Our team supports all children in
learning through a balance of child-initiated
and adult-led play-based activities, making
the learning experience enjoyable.
Using the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
as our foundation, we integrate this
statutory framework into every aspect of
nursery life. Our educational programme
ensures children experience quality learning
and development opportunities throughout
their early educational journey.
Purple Bees gives all children a firm
foundation for future academic, social, and
emotional success!

OUR FOUR
GUIDING PRINCIPLES
At Purple Bees, our routines, activities and nursery environments are designed to enhance the following four principles, offering children opportunities to play and practise their growing skills, ensuring that every child has an opportunity to learn and develop at a pace that is suitable to them.
Every child is unique, and all of the children at Purple Bees are constantly learning how to be resilient, capable, confident and self-assured.

Children learn and develop well in environments tailored to their individual needs, supported by a strong partnership between practitioners and parents or carers.
Children develop and learn in diverse ways and at varying rates. The EYFS framework encompasses the education and care of all children in early years provision, including those with special educational needs and disabilities.
Our team will observe, assess, and plan developmentally appropriate activities for your child, focusing on these four key areas.
This approach allows us to provide a variety of engaging learning experiences that build on your child’s existing knowledge and interests.
Practitioners will regularly observe your child to monitor and assess their progress, regardless of their age or attendance pattern at nursery. These observations help us understand where your child is in their learning and development, enabling us to plan the next steps effectively.
