About Purple Bees Day Nursery in Hounslow
We are a EYFS-based nursery in Hounslow. We care for children from 3 months to 5 years and provide a range of age-appropriate resources and activities to encourage their development right up until they are ready to join school.
Our philosophy is based on learning and creativity. By blending indoor and outdoor classrooms and environments in a home-away-from-home environment, we are able to create a space where children feel empowered and ready to learn.
Who We Are
Purple Bees offers the highest quality childcare for children in our community. We, both as parents and practitioners, have a responsibility to give our children the greatest start in life and to nurture their natural desire to learn. At Purple Bees, we aim to create a strong foundation for a child’s education.
As you may be aware, life on this planet cannot exist without Bees. Scientists have said, that due to the size of a bee’s wings, it’s physically impossible for it to lift its own body weight up and fly – but it flies anyway.
If the bees had listened to those scientists and told themselves that they couldn’t fly, life on this planet would not exist. It’s their ability to take seeds from one plant to the next that allows pollination to occur, which allows the world to continue to survive.
So, how does this relate back to you? Good question…
The flowers are like your children…the knowledge, care and compassion are like those seeds…and the Bees, well, that’s your child’s adored Practitioner!
We know that the seeds of knowledge, care and compassion must be given from our Practitioner to your child to allow them to blossom into beautiful flowers.

Our Designated Sleep Room – with soft lighting and natural wood cots – has been designed to provide a calm, quiet and restful environment for babies, allowing them to enjoy a comfortable nap without being disturbed by any external noise.
CCTV is in full-time operation throughout our nursery, for the protection of children and peace of mind for staff and parents.
Our Dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Room provides exceptional support and care for children with unique learning requirements. Our experienced staff deliver personalised attention in an engaging and stimulating environment, fostering self-confidence and a positive attitude towards learning and social interaction.
Our light and airy nursery contains an in-house kitchen, where we produce freshly cooked, nutritious meals and snacks every day.

Our baby rooms cater to children from three months until they are confidently mobile, with separate sleeping rooms and changing facilities. We maintain a 3:1 child-to-staff ratio, prioritising staff continuity.
Our bright and stimulating baby rooms offer a caring environment where children explore colour, shape and texture through natural light, toys, adult interaction, and sensory experiences.
At Purple Bees, we follow your baby’s home routine to provide continuity and stability. We focus on home-like care with plenty of play, love, and attention. As children gain confidence, they engage in educational and fun activities like colouring, painting, messy play, and singing.
To ease the transition from home to nursery, we arrange convenient settling-in sessions where you and nursery staff can discuss your baby's needs and establish a plan of action.
At two years old, your child will move to our toddler rooms, catering to children aged two to three years with a 4:1 child-to-staff ratio. Here, we encourage self-selection of activities and independence to prepare them for preschool.
These energetic rooms offer a wide range of carefully selected, educational, and fun activities to stimulate your child's curiosity. Using the EYFS planning and observation system, nursery staff will support and expand on your child's interests.
When it comes to potty training, we will encourage your child to be as independent as possible and make the experience positive and stress-free for your little one. All we ask is that you bring in lots of spare clothes in case they have a little accident, so they will have their own clothes ready to be changed straight into.
In our preschool room, children aged three years to school age are cared for with an 8:1 child-to-staff ratio. The structured day focuses on individual learning, with progress observed and recorded by your child's Key Person. Plenty of fresh air and outdoor activities ensure a busy and fun-filled day!
Children learn through play, and during free play sessions, they are encouraged to be independent and choose from a wide range of fun and engaging activities.
By the end of their time in preschool, children will have increased confidence and social skills, ensuring a smooth transition to full-time schooling and continued learning progression.

Our dedicated sleep room features soft lighting and natural wood cots, providing a calm and quiet environment for babies to nap undisturbed. Each child has their own bed linen, laundered regularly in-house.
To ensure safety, all sleeping babies are closely monitored via CCTV, and staff perform regular check-ins. We adhere to your established sleep routines to provide a consistent and restful experience for your baby.
At Purple Bees, we consider outdoor play to be an essential part of children’s learning and development. We believe that children need lots of variety of play and that they need to experience a range of different learning environments as part of their development.
Playing and leaving the room to run around outside will not only improve their physical health but will also stimulate their minds as they discover outdoor activities and experience the different seasons.
